Q: What Are 'Appraisals While You Wait'?

A: We examine and perform all necessary tests with you present and while you watch. Your appraisal is finished as a bound report and includes a full description, a digital image and a plot of all diamonds over one carat. An emailed pdf file of the report will be provided to you at no extra charge.

Q: Tell Me About The Appraisal Process

A: Each piece of jewelry is weighed, measured, and described in detail. All appraisals include photographs. Gemstones are identified, graded, measured, and their weights are calculated. Metal content is determined. All diamonds are described with weight, shape, color, clarity. For diamonds over one carat, the internal characteristics of the diamond are diagramed (plotted). Colored gemstones are described with weight, shape, color, clarity with further detail when appropriate. Pearls are identified, graded and measured. Q: How Can I Schedule a Jewelry Appraisal Appointment?

A: Appraisals are offered by appointment only. Call us at 508-783-7448 or visit the Contact Us page on our website to schedule your appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday between the hours of 10:00AM and 4:00PM.

Q: How much does it cost for a jewelry appraisal?

A: Appraisals are priced per item. We charge a flat fee of $125.00 for the first piece and have a sliding scale for multiple pieces. payment is due at the end of the appointment. Click here to view our price list. 

Q: How long is an appraisal appointment?

A: An appointment for up to eight items usually takes about one hour for the laboratory work to be completed. The paperwork and research will be done after the in-person appointment in our office. 

Q: When will I receive the finished appraisal report?

A: The appraisal report will be delivered by mail (hard copy) and email (PDF attachment). The appraisal will be delivered within one week of your scheduled appointment.

Q: Will I receive the photographs of my jewelry?

A: Your appraisal includes enlarged digital color photos of the items printed in the report.

Q: Do you take credit cards in payment for your jewelry appraisAL services?

A: Yes, we accept payments by credit card, cash or check.
